Watch out for frauds on Facebook...

Recently, one of our clients contacted us: his Facebook page was in danger of being blocked because someone reported their content and said Facebook's terms and conditions weren't respected...

We admit, getting that kind of message can be stressful, and it might even seem legit! But the rest of the message where he was asking you to confirm your identity by clicking on a link that wasn't even pointing on Facebook was a dead giveaway.

See how easy it is to try and steal your identity?

They even thought of using a page name that tries to pass themselves as a legitimate Facebook contact. In this case, they named themselves 'Confirm your page'...

Please remember, that Facebook will never ask you to re-confirm your account to keep your page active. The same goes for pretty much EVERY company!

So as soon as you see this kind of message, report it immediately! The faster you do it, the faster they'll get caught.

Here's what you can do to report this to Facebook, and remember, the more we are to report it, the faster Facebook should take action.

You can also help out others by mentioning it directly on your Facebook page so that your friends are warned. They might thank you later!

But if ever you accidently clicked on a link and entered your username and password, try changing your password immediately before they take control of your account. If you weren't fast enough and lost your account, contact Facebook right away to try and recover it.

If you need help, don't hesitate to contact someone who knows about these kinds of problems and remember to always be skeptical of these messages.
