MalwareBytes has detected a new menace a Pirate Bay clone website. This new menace is in addition to all the others that have been uncovered over the years. This one in particular installs a banking Trojan.
It's problems like these that not only show the importance of updating the security of your Wordpress website, but also shows the advantages of using a home-made CMS. Since a home-made CMS doesn't have the same popularity as Wordpress or Drupal, it's never the target of these sort of attacks because hackers won't spend time trying to hack a dozen websites instead of millions of websites. By the way, we highly recommend you ask your current provider if the personnalized modules they've made on your website prevents you from updating Wordpress. If so, all that's left to do is pray for the best...
