First victims of Canada's anti-spam law

Monday, April 27, 2015

On March 5th, the CRTC has given it's first large fine (over a million dollars) to Compu-Finder for sending unsollicited SPAM.

The CRTC has also confirmed that Compu-Finder was the target of over 26% of the total number of complaints they received so far. Another company (Plenty of fish) has also been found guilty (and already paid its fine) of sending spam. Let's just hope that this penalty means the end of bad e-marketing practices.
