Researchers have been able to develop malware and add it in the App Store, which allowed the app (once installed) to extrat private data from other applications already installed on the phone.

Luyi Xing, lead researcher on the team that discovered this security hole, informs us that they contacted Apple about this problem a long time ago. Apple told them they needed 6 months to fix the problem.

We're now 6 months later and the problem still exists. The vulnerability has been found on the IPhone, IPad and on Mac computers.

No word yet from Apple about this vulnerability.
